GET INVOLVED IN USENET POLITICS - HELP CREATE A NEWSGROUP!
One of the biggest misconceptions of users is that Usenet has
no central authority. It does have such an authority and that
authority is prohibiting a vote on whether a group named
soc.culture.virtual.oceania should be allowed to exist. While
our newsgroup of alt.culture.virtual.oceania is starting to
propagate throughout Usenet, it would be much better if we had
a group with the "big seven".
Ah! Our old message here was of some use. A volunteer with the
Usenet Group Mentors is going to try to help us out. I'll keep
everyone posted.
