COLOSSUS

I continue to spend most of my time jumpstarting Colossus, but this won't last much longer. Despite being in business with a T-1 line for only about 1 month, and having just opened our checking account yesterday we have already made tremendous strides. We now have $2500/month in customers and our customers come from every continent except for South America and Antartica. If anyone has any contacts in Antartica, I would appreciate it. We are willing to make a real good deal for a customer in Antartica...

Once Colossus passes $10,000/month in revenue, my life will begin to dramatically change and Oceania will change with it. Expect good news soon, our rate of growth is exponential as friends tell their friends and so on.

The Oceania plan of action as money flows in from Colossus is 1) begin to pay off debts more earnestly, print passports, print Oceania Oracle newsletter, improve our product inventory, launch hospital ship project. All this should happen soon as Colossus is doing really well. I just checked, we are already beyond month FIVE of our business plan in revenues. And you know how optimistic business plans are...

(Average revenue has been higher than $2500/month as many people are paying for lots of months at a time, as many as 12 months at a time. Enough said!)

Finally, I would like to thank Neo-Tech for jumping on board as one of our customers. As a previous big advertiser in our old magazine Chain Breaker, it's nice to see they are sticking with us, good times or bad.

PUBLICITY

The June issues of NetGuide and Wired Magazine did cover us. I particularly liked the Wired Magazine article as it had nice pictures and lots of contact information. We've been getting plenty of hits on our site. This was the best publicity in the history of The Atlantis Project.

MAILING LIST

With 1800 subscribers, we are only 50 subscribers short of the peak of The Atlantis Project. If you recently tried the command "get oceania-l info.txt" and it didn't work, please retry it. It was one of the features that was messed up by the recent move of the Oceania site to our Colossus web site.

ISDN

If you need an ISDN lecturer or need customized ISDN software, contact Colossus at colossus@colossus.net.

ENCRYPTION

If anyone can explain how we can get an inexpensive secure httpd server on our Linux machine, please let us know. We are moving closer to paying $6000 for a secure httpd from Netscape that doesn't even run on Linux. This is not an enjoyable thought...

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

We are short of hands at The Atlantis Project. If you have skills that you can lend to our cause, send us e-mail. We can use you both remotely and onsite. We have a huge need for white papers as our earlier volunteers haven't generated any yet!

GIRLFRIEND

Since we've added a few hundred new subscribers recently, I should point out that Eric Klien, founder of Oceania, is looking for a dynamic libertarian woman. You know I just may have to launch a matchmaker service one day...
